LP Office Hours FAQs

What is LP Office Hours (LPOH)?

Launched in 2018 by NVCA and Greenspring Associates and now led by Venture Forward, LPOH is normally an in-person education program for professionals of diverse backgrounds to receive advice from and connect with LPs and other GPs. The goal of LPOH is for emerging VC fund managers to learn from LPs about the fundraising process, GP-LP relationship management, and other guidance for success as a VC from the LP’s perspective, in an open and collaborative environment and safe space for questions. We've held LPOH in Palo Alto, Boston, Washington, DC, and Los Angeles.

104 women and minority VCs have attended the LPOH, where 43 LPs and 22 experienced GPs hosted office hours. The program has facilitated 183 1:1 meetings and 74 roundtable discussions.

In 2021, LPOH will be held virtually. There is no cost to for emerging GPs to participate.

Who should attend?

The target audience is women, minorities, immigrants, or anyone from historically underrepresented backgrounds who are raising/closed a 1st fund and want to learn about more fund of fund LPs. Come with questions to ask experienced LPs and GPs!

Note: this event is NOT a place to pitch LPs!

Will there be other opportunities to attend LPOH?

June 3rd is our 5th program and first virtual one. Space is limited. The LPOH series will continue in 2021 with a focus on other LP institution types (e.g., foundations, endowments, family offices).
